Photoshop Tutorial: Draw a Snowman
Posted by : administrator
Category: Photoshop Tutorials - Views: 797

It's time for blog updates. By the celebration of Christmas, I wanted to share about how to draw a snowman, a funny, fat and adorable. Not too difficult, just need precision. Let's get started:

1. Open a new document, size up to you. Create background first, select the gradient tool, make settings with color #FFFFFF, #759CC3 and #02143A. As shown in the example below there.

Drag the gradient from bottom to top of the document.

2. Create a new layer. Using the Elliptical Marquee Tool, create a circle but not too round. Let remain selected. Activate the gradient tool, create a gradation of color #FFFFFF, #B8B7BD and #FFFFFF.

Drag the gradient on the circle, from upper left to lower right side.

3. Give little effect. Select Filter --> Noise --> Add Noise, such as settings for the following:

4. Make copies of the circle that has been made. Press Ctrl + J. Shear layer to the bottom layer of the first circle. Then press Ctrl + T, to make this circle bigger than first circle, because we will use it as a snowman body.

5. Create a new layer, now we're going to draw the scarf. Set Foreground color #9e0b0f. Use the Pen Tool, create a form of head scarf and snowman body. Free of course, not necessarily exactly what I make. If felt necessary to form a more realistic, use the Convert Point Tool to make the curve on the scarf.

6. Now we make indentations on scraf. Easy, select the Burn Tool to make some part become darker. Use a brush with a small size, and select the range to midtones. Play your imagination in this work.

7. Make a snowman cap. Remember the first circle we have created? Press ctrl, place the cursor on the thumbnail, then click. You'll find a selection circle. Create a new layer, let it remain selected. Activate the gradient tool, set the color #4e0101, #9e0b0f and #4e0101

Drag from the top left to bottom right direction. After that, by using the arrows on the keyboard, move the selection circle (remember, only the selection line), slightly down and to the left of the original. and press Del on the keyboard. Walllaaaaa .... Don't forget to give the same effect as the effect of noise on the snowman's head and body.

8. Create a snowman's eyes by using ellipse tool, give wana #000000. Give shadow effects on each eye

9. Select Pen tool, create a snowman's nose, give color gradation #FFFF00 and #f26522

10. Now we will make the Furball. Select Dune Grass Brush available at Default. Activate the Brush Preset, make settings with this:

Press the mouse, a circular motion until it forms a furball like I had made. Adjust the brush size with the size of the hat and the head of snowman.

11. Create duplicate furball, as many as 3 (three). Place equal to that of the image that I created.

12. Select Dry Brush is the default brush, set your foreground color #FFFFFF, used to make snow dust

Finish!!!
I hope, you can draw a snowman better than I had made, from this tutorial.
